RV Parking and Camping for the Tucson Gem Show 2027

2026-10-14

RV and camping options for the 2027 Tucson gem shows: Pima County's Gilbert Ray Campground ($35/night RV sites with hookups, reservation-only, 7-day limit), plus what to check with private RV parks.

Lots of buyers and dealers come to Tucson by RV for the shows (Jan 27 – Feb 14, 2027). Here is what the official sources say about camping close to the city.

Gilbert Ray Campground (Tucson Mountain Park)

Pima County runs Gilbert Ray Campground at 8451 W. McCain Loop, west of downtown in Tucson Mountain Park. Per the county's policies:

  • RV sites: $35/night, with 20-, 30- and 50-amp electrical hookups. Everyone at an RV site pays $35, whether or not they use the hookups.
  • Tent-only sites: $10/night, no utilities.
  • Reservation-only. There are no first-come, first-served sites, and payment is online only (no cash or checks on site).
  • Reservations open up to one year ahead, with up to three sites per transaction.
  • 7-day camping limit, without exception. After seven days you must leave for at least seven days.
  • The county does not accept mail or packages for campers, so don't ship your purchases there. See our shipping guide.
  • Loop A has 75 sites with a dump station and restrooms. Contact: [email protected], 520-724-5159.

Because of the 7-day limit, a full 19-day show run means planning a second base.

Private RV parks

For longer stays, private RV parks around Tucson offer weekly or monthly rates. Show season overlaps with snowbird season, so book early and ask:

  • Is there space for a trailer or box truck (for dealers)?
  • Do they accept packages for guests?
  • How far is the drive to the clusters you care about? See the venue map.

Driving in for the day

If you're staying outside town, the south-side shows are the easiest to reach by car. A.S. Shows lists free admission and free parking at the Kino Gem & Mineral Show (Kino Sports Complex, 2500 E. Ajo Way). For downtown, see the parking guide.
