Where to Stay for the Tucson Gem Show 2027
How to choose a hotel for the 2027 Tucson gem shows by show cluster, how to get help finding a room, and hotels near each venue group.
Rooms are the hardest thing to find during gem show season. Visit Tucson's 2025 economic impact study counted 113,342 buyers and 6,709 vendors across the winter shows, and a lot of them need a bed at the same time.
Pick the cluster first, then the hotel
Shows are spread across the city, so staying near the shows you care about saves the most time:
- Central / I-10 Freeway corridor. Several shows are inside hotels here. The Pueblo Gem & Mineral Show runs at the Ramada by Wyndham (777 W Cushing St), and Fossil & Mineral Alley is at the Days Inn City Center (665 N Freeway), per the TucsonGemShow101 schedule. That makes the corridor the most walkable base for public shoppers. Browse central listings.
- Downtown / Tucson Convention Center. Best for AGTA, GJX and the Main Show. TucsonGemShow101 notes downtown parking is limited and paid, so a walkable downtown hotel avoids the daily parking cost. Browse downtown listings.
- Oracle Road. Close to the Mineral & Fossil Marketplace, RMGM and the Just Minerals Event. Browse Oracle Rd listings.
- South side. Close to Kino, JOGS (Tucson Expo Center) and G&LW, and near the airport. Browse south listings.

Practical tips
- Book as early as you can. Many dealers rebook the same rooms year to year.
- If you're buying heavy material, a ground-floor room or one with parking close by makes loading easier.
- Wholesale buyers going to GJX and AGTA (Jan 30 – Feb 4, 2027) should stay downtown or central. Public shoppers have more choice.
All our places to stay come from public OpenStreetMap records, with a source link on each listing. We don't list prices because they change daily during the shows.
