The dates

The 2027 winter showcase runs January 27 – February 14, 2027 (Visit Tucson, TucsonGemShow101). Individual shows open and close on their own dates. See our 2027 schedule.

When most shows are open

TucsonGemShow101 recommends going from the last week of January through the first week of February, when almost all of the roughly 52 venues are open at the same time and fully stocked.

Pick your days around the shows you care about

Trade buyers: AGTA GemFair runs Jan 31 – Feb 4, 2027 at the Tucson Convention Center (AGTA). See tickets & registration.
Mineral collectors and families: the TGMS Main Show runs Feb 11 – 14, 2027 (TGMS). That's later than the peak, so to see both the Main Show and the big tent shows, plan around the second week of February and check which other shows are still open.
Seniors and military: Friday, Feb 12 is Military & Senior Day at the Main Show, with $2 off (TGMS).

Weather

TucsonGemShow101 lists average January – February highs of about 66 – 70°F and lows of about 39 – 42°F, with little rain. Mornings and evenings are cold, the sun is strong, and the air is dry. Pack layers, sunscreen, sunglasses, lip balm and water. A small umbrella is useful for the occasional shower at outdoor tents.
