Who can get in

GJX says the show is for "qualified buyers who are engaged in the gem and jewelry industry, or its related products." Its own rules:

  • Age 14+ only. No children under 14 on the show floor, infants included. Bring a valid photo ID with proof of age.
  • Business casual dress is required.
  • No strollers, wagons or skateboards, no pets (service animals allowed where applicable), and no filming or photography equipment. Photographing product needs the exhibitor's consent.

Buyer registration: what to upload

GJX's buyer registration page asks for company documentation, one of:

  1. A Jewelers Board of Trade (JBT) number, or
  2. A current business license, resale license or tax-exempt certificate, dated within the last 2 years, that shows gem or jewelry industry affiliation, or
  3. If your license doesn't show the industry (or your state doesn't issue one): itemized invoices from three different suppliers within the last year, each for multiple items, totaling at least $5,000 combined.

It also asks for proof of employment for each buyer: a photo of a professionally printed business card with the company name and the buyer's full name, or a recent W-2 or pay stub.

Badges aren't mailed. About 3 weeks before the show, each approved buyer gets an email with a barcode. Bring that barcode and a photo ID to a pre-registration counter to have your badge printed, and keep it on at all times. GJX says lost or damaged badges can't be replaced.

Guests: guests can't be pre-registered. A qualified buyer from the company registers them on site, up to 4 guests per company at $35 each.

AGTA badges: GJX honors AGTA buyer badges (validate at the AGTA sticker counter with photo ID and business card), but not AGTA guest badges. AGTA GemFair runs at the Convention Center Jan 31 – Feb 4, 2027; see our tickets and registration guide.

Students at a qualified gemological or jewelry school register on site with a current student ID and proof of a recently completed course, and can't bring guests.

Parking and getting there

GJX lists two paid buyer lots: VIP buyer parking directly in front of the tent by registration, and the regular buyer lot behind the tent. TucsonGemShow101 lists GJX parking at about $10/day (at TCC, card only); confirm the rate on arrival. GJX's FAQ says shuttle service is available across the street at the Tucson Convention Center.

For garages and lots within walking distance, see parking near the Convention Center and our main parking guide. TucsonGemShow101 warns that registration and parking get crowded on the first morning, so give yourself extra time on Jan 30.

Nearby shows and services

GJX is in the downtown cluster with AGTA GemFair and the Pueblo show. Pueblo's own site says it is half a block from GJX; see our Pueblo Gem & Mineral Show 2027 guide.
